Onam 2009 celebration by Gayathri, Delhi

Gayathri, a Delhi based socio-cultural organisation celebrated Onam 2009 on 13th September, 2009 at Laxmibai Nagar Community Hall. The programme started after break fast at 10 am with a prayer by Mrs Rajitha Hari. Gayathri President Shri Eswaran Potty did the inauguration and welcomed all members. On the occasion they distributed Awards for Academic Excellence in 2009 in 10th and 12th separately for Science, Commerce and Economics. The prizes was awarded to the wards by Shri Potty. There was community lunch from 1.30 to 2pm followed by many cultural programmes. Kids performed Mohiniyattam, Bharathanaatyam and cinematic dances. There was poem recital and Kaikottikali by elder lady members. The programmes concluded by 5 pm.
